2   Link   Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS
The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) is a joint venture of the United Nations family that brings together efforts and resources of ten UN system organizations towards the prevention of new HIV infections, caring for people living with HIV, and to mitigate the impact of the epidemic. On its Philippines page, one can browse the latest UNGASS data on Philippines and the Philippines-Country Progress Report (April 2008), the estimated data on HIV and AIDS, UNAIDS/WHO/UNICEF epidemiological fact sheets of 2008, WHO 2008 report on tuberculosis and available publications. UNIFEM is a UN agencies charged with helping countries move forward on the Millennium Development Goals, with the specific mandate to advocate for gender equality.
