 These case studies document the experiences of LGUs in different regions and in different levels of local governance. They are regarded as good practices in gender mainstreaming and were compiled to stress the importance of addressing gender issues in relation to development. The case studies provide important information and insights regarding the implementation of the GAD budget policy at the local level, strategies for and future outcomes of gender mainstreaming, and areas for future action. The compilation intends to provide guidance for other LGUs in the implementation of their gender and development activities.
